Private Voice Lessons
Learning to sing means something different to everyone. For some, performing is their profession, while for others it may be a beloved hobby. Some may move on to teach future generations of musicians, while others may eventually decide to pursue different career paths and interests entirely. In all of these cases, learning to sing has the power to shape one’s self-image and confidence, excite a person intellectually and emotionally, and to aid in the acquisition of unique skills that will be relevant wherever one decides to go in life. Guiding my students through that personal growth is by far the most rewarding part of teaching—in fact, it is my reason for waking up in the morning!

Pricing: I offer the following lesson durations.
30-minute Lesson (recommended for beginners, young students, and adults on the go)
45-minute Lesson (a happy medium, suitable for most high schoolers)
60-minute Lesson (recommended for advanced students preparing multiple songs for auditions)

Location: I teach from my home studio in Wilmington, DE. Free and unrestricted parking can be found just outside my home. I also continue to offer Zoom lessons to any student who prefers to take lessons in the comfort of their own home, as well as students who have had a recent COVID exposure or otherwise are feeling under the weather.
Please note that my studio does not have a separate enclosed waiting area for grownups to accompany children or teens to their lessons. Parents and siblings are always welcome inside my home, but some students feel more comfortable if their parents wait in the car or run errands during their lesson time.
Age policy: I believe that it is in a student's best interest to begin classical voice training no sooner than high school. If you have a child who is younger than fourteen but would like to take voice lessons, we will primarily focus on the fundamentals of singing through musical theater, choral music, folk, or pop styles. Occasionally, we can work on classical art song if it is developmentally appropriate and if your child has a strong interest. If your child has a strong interest in classical singing, please contact me to discuss the various options that we can explore!
