Rachel is excited to appear in the chorus of OperaDelaware this season in Gilbert and Sullivan's comic operetta, Trial by Jury, presented with the premiere of Derrick Wang's new opera, Scalia/Ginsburg.

​

OperaDelaware's 2019 festival is centered around the theme of justice.  Appropriately, OperaDelaware will also present Jake Heggie's Dead Man Walking.

Opera is full of sins, some deadlier than others! Join us to explore some of the most exciting opera and musical theatre arias and duets encompassing pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth.

Both performances are free and open to the public and family friendly. Donations are appreciated and accepted.

Amahl and the Night Visitors

Witness the story of Amahl, a 12 year old crippled boy who is visited by the Three Kings. The fun and frolic between Amahl his mother and the Kings is a sheer delight. Perfect for young families.

Les Misérables

Rachel will play both Madame Thénardier and Eponine in this abridged concert production of Les Misérables.  Time will be taken in between each song to discuss the plot action and characters in this lecture-style concert.  

Hansel and Gretel

Rachel will play Hansel in an abridged concert production of Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel, performed in English with piano accompaniment.  This interactive performance is perfect for the whole family!

Beauty and the Beast

November & December 2017

Milburn Stone Theatre

Rachel will make her debut with Milburn Stone Theatre as Madame de la Grande Bouche in Beauty and the Beast.  The production will feature a live pit orchestra.

Carmen — Vive la liberté

Rachel will appear as Mercédès in Bizet's Carmen with the Opus Concert Theatre.  Music will be performed in French with piano.  The production features new dialogue in English, written by Diana Cantrelle.

Rachel will be joined by Wendy McNally (piano), Emily Carroll (cello), and several surprise guests in presenting a program that grapples with matters of spiritual identity and coming of age, including Jake Heggie's From the Book of Nightmares and a rarely performed cycle by H.T. Burleigh.  Her husband, Tristan Bostock, will accompany her on the piano as they premier one of his new works. 

University of Delaware Opera Theatre Presents — Werther

Rachel will appear as Charlotte in Massenet's Werther with the University of Delaware Opera Theatre, directed by Dr. Blake Smith.  Werther will be performed in French with English supertitles.  This production features the wonderful University of Delaware Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Dr. James Anderson.
